Dr. Kurt Haas, Associate Professor, University of British Columbia, Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences and recipient of a Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Research Grant (2009 – 2012). Dr. Haas recalls how the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada was one of the first to fund his research, tells us why this is an exciting time to be in neuroscience, his focus of research on epilepsy, the burden of mental health issues on society and appreciation for what the Scottish Rite Foundation of Canada has done.
