The
Awards Committee of the Foundation, annually approve the awarding of over
$500,000 in major research grants and graduate student awards in support of studies relating to intellectual impairment.
Effort is made to distribute these awards equitably
across Canada.
The Awards
Program focuses it's funding in two areas of support:

Research
Grants of
$35,000 support Biomedical research into intellectual impairment especially
as it affects children and the causes and cure of Alzheimer's Disease.
-
Graduate
Student Awards of
$10,000 each
for research by Doctoral candidates into the causes, cure and treatment of
intellectual impairment.
